A year ago from our deck ... frog and LOTS of smoke...
While looking for these frog pictures, I realized we were experiencing smoky sunsets last year at this time. The pictures that follow were taken on the same day from our deck. I believe the smoke in question was drifting into our area from Canada. The air quality was awful ... but the red sun and eerie sunsets were quite beautiful. These were taken with a Lumix G7, micro-four-thirds camera. I never use a tripod but I'm sure would benefit from one. :-P
Over the years, our frog population near the house has grown markedly. Landscaping maturity has made all the difference. I'm sure they are mostly generated from standing water in the lower field and a pond next door. It's always fun to have one show up in a container planting... or hunkered down in the flowerbed. Listening to a frog chorus in the evenings has been one of the joys of living here.
Nice set of pictures. I remember some of those smokey days. Welcome to the forum.

Thank you!
I'm sure glad we're not doing a repeat of the smoke this season... so far, at least.

I enjoyed these images Kathy.
Really nice photos. The little frogs are great. I posted a set some time ago from Nisqually Wildlife Refuge. Same frogs, beautiful little guys.

Thank you! :-) I'm not cranking out professional photos with the highest end equipment (or expertise) ... but I love to see the photos of others and thought I'd venture to "expose" some of mine. ;-)

Thank you! I have always had a love affair with our native tree frogs. They are awfully cute.

Thank you UTMike!
I don't think I've been to South Jordan but surely drove past a few times while attending BYU for a year ... a LONG time ago.
The little frog nestled down into the rose is wonderful. Nice set.

Thank you! :-) It was fun seeing him. I think he hung out in that spot for a couple of days during the daytime. I LOVE those little frogs!

Thank you! :-) I don't miss the smoke, but the sunsets during that period were amazing. I'll try to hunt down a few more photos I took in the garden with that weird sky behind.

I hope to pull some out along the way for posting (have to dig through libraries).
