When I owned a 1956 and a 1961 (HarryMans Chevrolet Road Racing Vett) back in the 60’s ..at 19 yrs old ...I only made $3.76 an hour .., I made the Vett payment at the bank .., the insurance and gas was paid and I had a beach apt ...
Now A Days ... it would be totally unaffordable ....., that being said .. both of my old vets .., had I kept them .. would pay for a 2020 with change left over ... I remind myself of that occasionally ...

Good point. Those older Vettes, especially the mid-yrs, well kept, very valuable.
