Interesting set James, looks like there is something for everybody. Thanks for sharing.
Great series, James, I remember the VW motorcycle episode.
I like your photos here, especially the Dodge Bros Grill and lights. I used DAP5 to turn it into a rustic painting. Very cool!

What a cool place James would love to spend some time there. Excellent and interesting series.

Hi Folks, took a walk through the "Pickers" Nashville store last week and snapped a few photos. It's a really cool place to visit and has become one of Nashville's most popular tourist attractions. It's a small store but it's packed full of goodies (ceiling to floor). Hope you enjoy these...

Looks like a great place to visit.
James, great set of photos! We watch the show regularly (after recording it - way too many commercials!) and often wonder how much of their pickins really sell. Entertaining, nonetheless.
Per the VW motorcycle ...
Brazil had made a motorcycle called the "Amazona". Other "offshore" companies had factories there- like VW (engines, trans, etc) and BMW (motorcycle front ends, etc) and quite a few others.
Rather than buy someone else's products, someone decided to make a homegrown bike.
It was *almost* a success. It would have done fine here as a road and town bike, ala Harley.
But a politico designated many for outlier police departments. Where it wasn't quite dainty enough for small twisty alleys, nor skinny hill foot trails.
I lusted for one in the late '80s. A FOAF of my kid in Phoenix had one, was wanting to sell it to me, and (I found out later) was talked out of it by the kid's girlfriend, who kinda thought if I still had the money maybe I'd share it with them.

Very cool. Two of my friends saw and spoke to Mike this last weekend in Iowa. The big swap meet in Davenport.
Love the show, love your set of captures
