Prime example that some times it’s all in the crop! An average pic at best is an excellent photo after cropping! Who cares what his feet look like or a tent looks like! Crop to the action and always (if possible) get a face in the photo! Everyone can see an overall play from the stands but can they see the players face? Get a face and crop out all the surrounding BS and get to the heart of the action!!

Bulldog, no. 1 and 3 are very good. no. 2 is a back, no face. Crop closer get rid of the junk.

I'll take that shot of a touchdown pass being caught every time if that's what I got from where I was. Nicer if the player was looking at you, but he might have missed the ball if he was. IMHO, that one time when rules were made to be broken. The biggest difference between working alone and working with a team of photographers, is that sometimes, you have to go with what you get. Again, IMHO, a better shot might have been the ball a few inches from his hands. There's a saying in sports photography: "If you saw it, you missed it". It's all about the right moment. Some good shots here. Best of luck.
