This shot of a Turks Cap flower was taken with a lens that can be readily purchased for $15.00 or less. A lens cap is advised. Image specs: flash used, f11, iso 800, 200mm + 2X in camera magnification, distance of 6 ft. The lens is small and weighs 11 ounces. Probably the best buy in the world of photography. It is very close to my Sony 18-135 SAM in performance.

I have the 70-210 3.5-4.5 and it is a GREAT lens also - $ 40 most places.
