Double Download

From time to time I see the term "Double Download" on UHH. I have no idea about what it means (compared to "download") and how to do it. Can somebody please explain it?

When the 'download' option is available, click on it then click on the photo to get more magnification.
I don't think it works with all photos but will with those with sufficient resolution.

I am not sure what you means...
There are four ways to look at an image:
- The default when the page opens
- The thumbnail on a black background when you click on an image
- The 'original version' (often it is not all that larger so what is the op thinking?) Download link under the image.
- View through an external link link Note that the link can be hidden under an image
I have never seen a 'double download'.
You might want to post a printscreen when you see this so that we can understand what you are dealing with.

-Clicking on "Download" downloads the file- first download.
-Clicking the "+" to enlarge the image that has already been downloaded- erroneously called the second download. Ergo, double download.
But the term has been used so much it is now/is becoming gospel???
Technically, it would be an "enlarged download". The file is not downloaded a second time.
