Keni, keep on posting! Your progress is very encouraging. Watch out, at this rate you may be tempted to quit your day job.

I appreciate it Mike but I don't think my art is to the point it will keep me in the style to which I have become accustomed. We have an employee art and craft fair in December. I think I am going to print some things and see how it goes there. I might make enough to buy a tank of gas.

Very cool! I like the processing. Seems like you're well on your way.

Thank you Bill. I love this stuff and if I didn't like sleeping with a roof over my head and eating I would get lost in it all day long.

I appreciate Bob. I didn't see it really as mist or fog but more of a surge of power or energy and a veil between two dimensions. She is using power to keep the two worlds from merging. Would a magical veil controlled by sorcery act the same as fog? You did make me think about it though and I can see where I could add something to give it more a sense of maybe moving energy (?). Not sure what to call it. But I have a few things in mind to try. As always you keep me on my toes and moving forward.

Oops--my mind must have been foggy. I understand now what you are trying to do. Perhaps increasing the intensity of the veil at its center? Perhaps leaving it as it is? BTW, there is a radial gradient tool that can be used as is, or as an overlay @20% to affect the underlying layer.

Thank you Jack! I have gotten so much inspiration from those magazines but as I told Carol I really need to get out and shoot specifically for this type of work instead of combing through what I have for something that I can use. Unfortunately the Irish and the Renaissance festivals are not until the spring so I have to come up with some ideas for getting folks in costume. I don't want to continue to rely on internet downloads although this one was perfect for what I had in mind.

To butt-in on your response to Curmudgeon Keni, finding people in costume can be perplexing at times. In the summer I have quite a choice with all the heritage stuff that goes on around here, but other times can be more difficult. Hence, I joined a photoshoot group, run on a commercial basis but in a friendly and accommodating way, who put on various types of photo days using both models and volunteer re-enactors. Of course there are fifteen to thirty other photographers there so getting exactly what you want can be taxing, but no more than at a public event and a chat with the model during a break will usually ensure you get your shot. Point is it’s relatively cheap compared with hiring a model and the settings are often interesting. Another idea that I’ve had less success with stems from Brooke Shaden’s ideas - if you’re not following her you may find it worthwhile. She buys cheap clothes and materials at the charity shop and models for herself. Well, my beard doesn’t fit with that look so I tried to persuade my wife she could model but that went down like the proverbial lead balloon - you may have more success though?
