Anyone have an ID on this Hornworm Cat I found on the road here in North Georgia here today? I have no idea as to what the host plant might be. There were a lot of Pine and Maple trees several feet back from the road
It's been ID'd as a Species Hemaris diffinis - Snowberry Clearwing
Sharp and colorful. Really nice.
Yes, very nice. That moth is a favorite of mine, though often difficult since they fly speedily from flower to flower. This one I think is getting ready to pupate, gradually turning from green to brown.
