I apologize for having a negative entry as my first but I just had to share this. I purchased a lens through Amazon. When it arrived the paper it came with said "Ships from and sold by Abes of Maine". There wasn't any warranty info nor a warranty card. The lens looked like it was new but I didn't know if it was new, refurbished or gray. I returned it and went to B&H & ordered a new one. I have confidence in B&H not in Abes. Never had never will.
I've been reading this forum for a while & I've read that if I come across Abes just DON"T.
I love this forum.
If you go back and check the details of your order it probably shows "Ships from and sold by Abes of Maine".
I never buy from Amazon unless it says, "Ships from and sold by Amazon".
The Amazon website is available to many vendors.
In your case you did not buy it from Amazon. Most likely you saw a lower price and went for it.

Guilty as charged. I should have read the fine print before purchasing online. I could have had a senior moment but I don't remember.
To be more accurate, Abes sells through Amazon. Though, your response is quite admirable.

My son informs me that he read "Sold & Shipped from Web Offers" on the Amazon page. Whoever they are.

Amazing! In a situation like that, you really can't give them the benefit of the doubt.

I won't because I returned it & bought one from B&H.
Thank you MT, One of the cameras I thought about getting was the Df, how do you compare the Df to the other bodies you have. I mean quality wise etc.

That is usually an indication that Amazon does not have it for sale, so you need to go to whatever online sellers do have it for sale. Sometimes they only have one and sometimes it's a long list.
What item are you talking about?

Are you asking what did I buy? Sigma Art 24mm f1.4. My first real quality lens. I will get more after I pay for the camera & lens.

I love the Df, low light shooting is better than anything else on the market. Build is excellent and my only complaint I have ever had is the smaller EN-EL14a battery rather than the much better EN-EL15 series battery. That is the only reason it gets left at home on my longer trips, but its my favorite camera to shoot locally by far.

As I suspected, the one from Abe's was $35 less than the others. The others that I saw were also from third party vendors..
B&H is a very good choice.
