Two images in one exposure at the Sonoma Co Fair. I had not seen these big screen images used outdoors except in ball parks. The cameras follow the horses into the starting gate and around the track throughout the race. I thought it might be interesting to try and photograph the horses as they passed in front of their own televised images as they approached the finish line. The horses were back lighted but that may have helped with a favorable exposure of the big screen. It worked out ok with the dogs too! These look a little better in download.
What an absolute treasure trove of possibilities for manipulating these two images. Good catch on both of them. --Bob

Great concept and exposure. I can even see the delay on the video screen, as the horses' legs are in a different position on the big screen as they are in the digital still you shot.
These are fun shots, Phil. You caught the action very well on both and getting the screen as well is a unique and creative idea. There's one little dog on the sidelines that doesn't seem to know he is racing!

Thanks for the kind comment ELNikkor. The time lag was interesting to me as well.

Thanks Carol! About half of the field was unclear on the concept. Three of the dogs went more or less straight to into the grandstands...I'm guessing the smell of hotdogs played a role.
