Hi Folks, hope everyone's doing OK. I had the pleasure of seeing this magnificent aircraft at the Great Tennessee Airshow back last June. The weather was awful with the constant threat of rain. Because of that, I didn't get many good shots during the show. But, did manage a few of this beauty before getting soaking wet. Her home is the Shelbyville Tennessee airport. Who knows, she might be coming to an airport near you. You can find more about her at:

I saw her at an airshow here in Colorado a few years back. Wonderful airplane.
It was great to see the DC-3 as it's probably like the one I flew to Lima Peru with my parents in 1947. I started to look it up on the internet not long ago just to see it but never did. Thanks for sharing it with us as it brought back some memories even though I was not quite 6 at the time.

Nice shots - thanks for posting. An amazing airplane that revolutionized air transport - 80 years old, and they are still being used.

Wow! Nice set James. The clouds and soft light add a lot to these IMO. Thanks for sharing
...James Bond and Indiana Jones...! The chase scene in Quantum of Solace is epic...great shots...!
Flew commercial on these a couple of times as a boy, then as a young man on CaribAir (if I recall correctly) tough aircraft, and the seats were bigger and more comfortable than today. A touch loud.
