The Orphan-an almost thrown away orchid.

This guy was almost a throw away plant. It had been forgotten when we had some work done on our lanai and sat under some shrubs all last summer and when we finally brought it in last fall there was only one stalk left where there had been several. It looked to be beyond hope but I never want to throw anything our that has a possibility of coming back. Stuck it on the lanai gave it some ice cubes and sort of nurtured it along and was rewarded this week with this one bloom and another stalk beginning to sprout. Orchids are tough!!!

Thank you very much alliebess, I appreciate you taking a look and commenting. I am constantly amazed at how plants rejuvenate themselves, they never give up. We should be so persistent.

I'm afraid to try and grow them. I probably would kill it.
