Coffee Maker on Sale

Amazon has a coffee maker on sale for $247. Wow! What a deal! It makes water hot and pours it over coffee grounds - and for only $247. I have a Mr. Coffee that turns itself on at 5:30 AM and turns itself off when the coffee is made, keeping it hot in an insulated carafe. That cost $40.
I thought it was interesting that this one is a KBG. Move the "G" back one space, and you have KGB. Sound familiar?
Maybe Russia is keeping track of our coffee-drinking habits, and it will use that against us.

If it is an Espresso coffee maker/machine. There is a little more engineering and materials involved that a simple by comparison drip machine.

I just bought a Hamilton Beach Flex Brew. It makes K cups or a carafe 12 cup it's programmable and also uses hot water.LOL.

Even being a coffee snob of sorts I'm still amazed at seeing all the different coffee machines that are "out there". Every company in the coffee appliance business is trying to make a better one. I personally have an espresso machine that takes around thirty minutes to make one 4oz (dbl shot) and then clean up afterward.
I enjoy the pleasure of kicking back in mid afternoon with a cup of espresso and just gazing out the window while taking small sips of a delightful brew.

Last thing I want is auto off coffee pot. Hate Mr Coffee for doing this. Will stick with my 100 dollar Bunn.

To judge from one reviewer on Amazon, what's special about this machine is:
"Overall, the Technivorm indeed seems to be the best auto drip coffee maker that you can buy in the USA - if you ever taste the difference between a typical coffeemaker and one that consistently holds the critical just-beneath-boiling temperature, you may not be able to go back. Assuming good beans, controlled/sufficiently high temperature is the key to great coffee... it's not rocket science but only Technivorm and Bonavita do it, as far as I can tell from reading a lot of third party reviews."

I have an old percolator pot I bought from at a yard sale for 5 dollars in 2011 and has made me perfect coffee every day since.

There is a difference, and even steaming the milk makes it sweeter.
You can roast your own beans, and take it to a different taste, add a little AMARETTO ,
