Reflection
As sunset cast a golden glow across the field of sand
I dream of you, to watch you grow and hold unsteady hand
The nights are long, the day was twice and years forever seem
My wife and daughter, to be with you is always in my dream
I fear i have to work afar until the very end
until these legs are weary and the back can never bend
if only spirits gave me paths beside the ones you tread
Then i wont have to be afar to earn our daily bread
but carry on this desert hell my cross will slowly buy
the honey fields we long to live, although for now we cry
the long farewell, someday will be a kiss forever true
when plans are done and i have come, there back home to you
