Always have some blooming, it starts the day off right.
Beautiful flowers and very nice images of them.

Thanks Mac, appreciate your comments. It is amazing how delicate they look and how tough the are. When they finish blooming I leave them out on the lanai all summer and bring thumbtack in the fall, they seem to thrive.
You have a really nice collection there.

Many thanks Hal, always appreciate hearing from you. I simply cannot resist orchids, thank goodness my wife loves them too.

Thank you for the comeback Bill, mush appreciated. Always at least one or two blooming. If for some reason I cannot get out of the house I have them available to photograph.
Beautiful series, thanks for sharing!

Wow! A basket of adorables. More so, downloaded.
Thanks for sharing.
Don't orchids require uncomfortably high humidity and a narrow range of temperatures to thrive? Your's look quite nice and I see no signs of peeling wallpaper

Thanks for looking and commenting Bill, much appreciated. Living Here in Florida the air conditioning is on all the time, humidity low. They get heat and humidity on the lanai after they have bloomed. We bring them back in when they show a bloom stalk. Orchids are tougher than you think.
Magnificent Captures!
I had a dear friend named Julia Pettrone. She loved orchids and wanted me to grow orchids for her. Even though I can grow most plants, I was deeply afraid to grow orchids. I feared I would kill them. I photographed the Orchid Show at the New Hofk Botanical Garden. I presented her with some framed photos I had taken. She loved the color, the clarity and the depth. I used my macro rings and my ring flash. My friend passed away but I enjoyed photographing for her. Thank you for my special memory.
I love your Dendrobiums and your Cymbidiums. Their color and shape define all orchids for us to admire.
Happy Shooting!
That was New York Botanical Gardens
