Great observation on that critter capture with its "piggybacked" friend! Nice detail!

Recent trip to Hawaii. Got some wall hangers, but am particularly proud of this shot of my wife at sunset on Waikiki beach.

ThomJ4 it appears from what I have seen of friends that have retired they all say the same thing, "I don't know how I ever got things done before I retired, because now I never to seem to have time to do anything!" My thoughts on that is that we all have this misconception that when we retire life gets easier when in reality it's just we no longer go to a job at a specific time everyday...that time gets replaced by other things that must be done that we had pushed down on the priority list...with that being said I have set a priority to learn photography and when I retire my new job will be to be a photographer so that I will be doing something in my golden years of retirement that I love and enjoy and the time that I now have prioritize to learning can be used to do those other things that I have pushed down on the list now....just a rearrangement of the priority list...keeping the most important thing in mind...that my life is lead working hard but still enjoyable no matter what comes my way along the journey....
This morning while out shooting around my home first I noticed a chill in the air, a little reminder that another summer is soon to come to an end, and then I noticed the plant nursery next door have started getting in their mums, yet another reminder and as I walked around Mother Nature, with the sound of the geese flying overhead and the withering of summertime's finest confirmed that within the next month the jackets will be coming out and the sandles will be put away...

Can you stand another sunrise? This is the only photo of our time at the lake that I have "handy". That would be my grandson out there watching the geese fly over.

Very nice Pat!

It's been too hot in Idaho to go out on the streets and take pix, so I've been having some fun playing in the studio.

What a wonderful set of images to start the "No Host, Just Post..." challenge
and thank you Johnna for getting us started.

Unfortunately, I haven't gotten out much over the last week or so, but I
thought I share some creations from some hibiscus I captured the other week.

Pg 1 - Awesome tour of Wapwallopen, PA, Vicki.

I really loved the in-camera abstract (#1) and the fog lifting
over the creek (Big Wapwallopen Creek, perhaps?)...and what
an awesome view from your front door!

Thanks Rolk! The fog lift is the pond across the road, Big Wap is about 6 miles from me, haven't ventured over that way yet.

Just got back from a Maine trip with family. Here are a few solitude images:

#4 gave me a true feeling of solitude, just imaging the relaxing pedal to the relaxing rest to overlook the bay or ocean off the pier...

Thank you Johnna for the start up of this final "No Host, Just Post..." can sympathize with the time element especially as we approach the end of the summer season...
This morning I applied an assignment I been trying to find time to work this entire week...Photograph within 100 meters of your front door...now for a cup of coffee to get the fog out of my head and clear up my eyes (it appears from these shots I need to...) and off to shoot some street shots at an arts festival and a new farmers market in a nearby small town....
Thank you Johnna for the start up of this final &q... (show quote)

Like that misty one,HC!
