I think this bird is in the Heron family. Maybe a juvenile Black crowned Night-Heron but not really sure. Its in the Klamath basin of Southern Oregon. Any ideas?

looks like the great blue heron we have on Vancouver Island.

Turns out its a Great Blue Heron. I have seen a lot of color variation in Great Blues over the years which sometimes makes it difficult to confirm an ID.
