This Marsh fly / snail-killing fly was on one of our pepper plants this morning. It's my favorite fly and I especially like the ones that have stripes one it's eyes rather than a solid color.

Excellent picture! I really like these flies too, though yours are prettier than mine. They seem pretty willing to sit and let one take pictures, too, which is very nice of them.
