Cool ... not like I have any clue about plants. I installed this App to my iPhone so when I come across poison oak, or ivy I will have a positive ID. No I never remember what they look like.

If I had to guess, it looks like a moon flower pod.

Jimson Weed is known throughout the Southwest as "Loco Weed". Cattle and horses that eat it will actually go crazy. It is considered dangerous to animals.

Datura is planted as an ornamental flower. It has large beautiful white blossoms. The seeds contain an hallucinogenic compound that is quite toxic. You can do a google search on Datura tea: https://sabotagetimes.com/life/datura-the-scariest-drug-ive-ever-taken

I think that's where the pod people come from.

It looks like a moon flower pod because the moonflower and jimson weed are first cousins. Both are toxic to humans and animals.

I don't know but it's nicely built and that's a good picture of it. Sorry.

Nice pic. Actually, every part of the Sacred Datura is hallucinogenic, or poisonous in excess - eating; as far as I know, not contact, at least I've never had a reaction.
