That's one very big problem in skydiving: It's very weather related. More times then I care to think about I sat around drop zones waiting, along with everyone else, for the weather to cooperate. Sometimes it did. Sometimes it didn't. Sometimes we took foolish chances.
Be glad the drop zone did the right thing. Your wife will find that it is worth the wait.

I meant to reply to original post and didn't for some reason. I may be stating duplications but had three suggestions (wife & son jumped last Labor Day, I went up next). First, suggest get there early and practice on anyone ahead of her. That really made a difference and led to number two - position self in front & offcenter of direction they will be landing, dependant on the sun. If you are on the side hard to catch landing shots because of speed and once they pass you. And finally shoot in burst (continuous) mode - you don't get a second chance.
