Don't know if it is still done, but as a young man was able to stay overnight on a large sailboat that paid to dock there. No tourists, like going back in time. Somewhere I still have a few photos - magic. Thanks for the reminder!

I used to live in Mystic but have not been to the Seaport Museum in many years. It is truly a wonderful experience and history lesson. The grounds and old ships are being preserved absolutely beautifully. When we were there earlier this month, the Mayflower, which is normally docked in Plymouth, MA, was getting a major restoration of some of the structural framing and planking. If you are ever near Mystic, it is worth the stop. So many photo opportunities. I have several posted on my Instagram account at bobburk3.
