I'm looking to buy a better monitor for editing. Any advice would be helpful, Thanks
I got Viewsonic, does the job for me.
I,m working off a laptop now thinking of a 24in with high resolution
Do you have a model no and size? Thanks

I use a pair of HD 24" displays- each is 1920x1200, and I use them in tandem, extending the desktop - for a total of 3860x1200.
For a good, photo editing display, I like this:

Could folks comment on ins and outs of a single wide screen monitor vs 2 smaller monitors, side by side ?
Thanks

I love my BenQ 27".
I purchased the 27” Dell 4K monitor about 4 weeks ago to use with my 2015 MBP 15” laptop. Within 12 hours, the monitor failed, not turning on after the computer went to sleep. Returned it to Amazon and exchanged it for the BenQ 27”. Plug and Play with the included thunderbolt cable. Great color and resolution.
do not get a gaming monitor, the colours are not quite right for photography,
I've currently got an older 24" HP IPS monitor that's served well for a number of years, but is no longer being made or available.
In the past I used a couple different Viewsonic that were excellent, but eventually died.
I'll probably need a new monitor in the not-too-distant future so have been looking around... I've been very impressed with the specs and prices of BenQ.
Almost any monitor will require proper calibration.... it will be too bright and won't render color precisely enough to accurately adjust photos. Plus it will gradually lose brightness and shift color rendition over time, with use. So if you don't already have one, be sure to get some sort of calibration device like a Datacolor Spyder, X-Rite ColorMunki or similar. They start around $100 and might actually be more important than the monitor you choose.
