Sony A 6300 body able to take heavy lenses?

I have a 500mm f8 mirror lens I would like to attach to A 6300 body. It weighs 585 grams w\OM to Fotodiox NEX-mount adapter. If I mount the 6300+ lens on tripod via the threads on the camera bottom will the Mg-alloy body take the stress? There's no tripod attachment on the lens.
I also have a micro-Nikkor 60mm f2.8 weighing 560grams which may present the same problem for the small 6300 body when tripod mounted?
I realize both lenses will not have any contact with the 6300's electronics. Both lenses work manually with the 6300.

Don’t think you would damage the mount for a short period. I have rested a long tele lens on an e mount body on a 3 LB sack of rice on a car door/window. Probably need the stability anyway. The store packaging of rice, beans, whatever, is more secure than emptying into a sock.

You should be OK with the A6300. I get very nervous of my 90mm F2.8 macro (6102 grams) on my A6000 when mounted on a tripod but the A6000 has a polycarbonate body and the bottom tends to twist under the weight. Just don't let the head pivot down suddenly.

Some questions, notBurt. 1) You have a 60mm Nikkor lens and another 500mm mirror lens, but you don’t tell us the brand name (mfgr) of the 500mm. 2) What is “w\OM”? 3) “Mg” is the correct symbol for magnesium, but a large portion of your UHH audience will not understand that. Couldn’t you have been a bit less in a hurry and typed the full name for clarity’s sake?

Just in case the OP doesn't respond, the OM adaptor is for an Olympus OM mount. I can't tell if the 500mm is a OEM Olympus or some third party lens.
BTW I have several OM lenses for my A6000. The OM lenses are very compact and sit well on the A6xxx. I have replaced most of them with Sony lenses by now but I do use them occasionally with a shift adaptor.

I would not gamble on the strength of the lens / camera coupling, Mg body notwithstanding. I once, seemingly long ago, saw lens coupling hoops in the days of paper catalogues. You might put in an email query to B&H or some other favorite camera outfit.

Thanx, I never thought of sack of rice. This might be ideal if I mount camera above my 5" Celestron scope for astro-fotos.

Thanx for your prompt reply. My concerns were heightened when I first tried mounting the 6300 to tripod using a Giottos MH 652 quick release. The camera plate half screws 3.94mm into the tripod socket on the bottom of the 6300. When I turned the 6300 on it did not recognize the 16-50mm Sony E mount kit lens. Removed the camera plate and viola lens & camera were friends again! I think this may have been a problem with the length of the plate screw?
P.S. Surely the >6kg weight is a typo?

Pardon my lack of knowledge, but what is an OP?
My apology for my dyslexic 85 y.o. 👎👎.
I believe I mentioned both lenses functioned with their respective adaptors tho manually. I have 5 OM Zuiko lenses all function with the OM-NEX adapter as does the 500mm even tho it is not OEM. However, my question concerns the ability of the magnesium alloy die-cast body to take the extended weight of these two heavier (than the kit lens) lenses when the 6300 body is tripod mounted? Can you help answer it?
P. S. My moniker is notBert. Get it?

I use my A6500 with a 150-600mm all the time.

OP =Original Poster (ie notBert)

I think you should be OK with the A6300. The magnesium alloy body is much stiffer than my A6000. Also, I believe Sony gave the A6300 a stronger mounting ring. Try tightening up the tripod ball joint while supporting the lens with your hand and then see how much to frame 'sags' when you take your hand away. I think some sag is to be expected but my 90mm sagged a full half frame on my A6000 which made me nervous.
