Any one using Fastone for post processing? Can you recommend any tutorials or written material using it.
I've been using it for years, and really like it. Very intuitive, and strong software. I probably use it 90% of the time, and use DXO and Photomattix the rest of the time. At the point of download on the faststone site, there are links to tutorials. I've never used them-just rooted around and figured out the programs features that work for my workflow.

It's not great for raw conversion, and the edits are very simplistic, which makes it easy to use, until you need to do something to an image that requires local adjustments. If your needs are modest it might be fine. This video should help.

I often suggest that people get in and play with the controls and then look at tutorials if needed. Tutorials are abstract unless you have had hands-on.
There are many free editors out there... just ask Mr. Google
I have been using it for years (decades?). It is updated frequently and only gets better and better. Quick to download.
I love Faststone. It is very easy to use and is FAST. It includes an excellent viewer. I started with the free version but have made a small donation which means I get regular updates. The viewer reads raw files that Windows 10 does not recognize without supplemental codecs (Sony ARW for example.). I shoot RAW + JPEG and use it for a quick edit. I also use Luminar 3 if I need a more comprehensive program, but Faststone does 80% of my work.
There are lots of tutorial videos on YouTube if you need one, but the program is really intuitive and easy to use.
When I was unable to browse files made with my Olympus cameras I heard of Fast Stone Image Viewer. Ever since I use the software with the purpose of browsing the Olympus files prior to editing.
It has found use for other cameras files as well. I do not edit with it.
I use FastStone to organize my images as the first program to get files from SD card to external hard drives. I also use FastStone to copy RAW images to my working folders. Then in FastStone, I will rename those images. I don't use FastStone for editing/processing.
