I'm sure there are sculptures somewhere of people staring down at their phones. What's so important?

Shouldn't some of those cars be facing towards the screen. Just asking.

Small cars ,regular cars face forward . Station wagon type cars some times park backwards and open up the back for the kids while mom or dad sits in a lawn chair . Good times for sure

As I remember, it didn't matter which way the car was facing, no one was watching the movie.

Driveins in my day were often referred to as "finger bowls" and often with "wall to wall car-petting."

This drive-in is a big deal in our area. There's only one feature and that's on Saturday night. This particular night it was "Lady and the Tramp". If you're not there when the gate opens at 6 pm, you could be out of luck. Sedans get to park in the first two rows and SUVs and pickups fill up the remainder. Dozens of kids in pjs running around playing corn hole, frisbee, kickball... Yes, some of the SUVs and pickups back in and watch from the back of the vehicle. And I found it odd that there were no mounds. Just flat ground. This was our first time there and my granddaughter enjoyed it . There were a number of teenage couples and once the movie started so did they. Fun night.

I remember the drive-ins from my area of Pennsylvania, the Lehigh Valley. Still a couple left, I believe. Most of my generation remembers the theatres, if not the movies. I can remember looking out the window to realize that was fog not just a steamy window. A look around confirmed mine was the only car left in the whole place. All of the others were long gone! Boy, did I feel stupid! Left quickly.
