Whoa - @rhwallace - you think @Ed Chu was posting for clickbait? Interesting thought...

Anyway, Ed - the relative lack of commentary on UHH about Fuji has more to do with the ongoing CaNikon wars (stupid as that is) as well as the relative popularity of those more established brands (I get the sense that many new photographers purchased their kits at Costco or the like and then are asking for assistance - and there is nothing at all wrong with that - but Costco et al doesn't sell Fuji).

But more to your point, and having switched from Nikon to Fuji in the past few years (have both the X-T2 and X-T3 now, having given my X-T1 to a friend), the reason Fuji's image quality seems superior to the others has to do not only to the quality of their glass (which is excellent, just as good as the big guys' stuff) but also the fact that the X-Trans sensor in the cameras uses a different pattern of RGB filters than the standard Bayer pattern used by all other imaging chips. Thus the SOOC (straight out of camera) quality does, to my eye, look better than even the "full frame" Nikons I had before.

Perhaps if you are serious in your inquiry and are looking to acquire one, you might find it useful to rent some gear for a week and see what you think. Personally, I found the ergonomics of the Fujis (well, not the X-Pro-1, which I hated) to be excellent as they hark back to the old days of film cameras, with controls placed where I expect them to be.

But if you read a bunch of threads on this site, you will see quite a few people who are quite pleased with their Fuji stuff.

I have two Fujis, an X-Pro1 and an X-T2, and have been using them for a little over a year now. (I also have and use Nikons, and have been a Nikon user for many years.) I bought the X-Pro1 for the express purpose of being able to use the variety of non-Fuji lenses I own (with adaptors), and I continue to enjoy doing just that. Yesterday afternoon I shot with the Pro1 fitted with a Leica screw mount lens, then in the evening I shot with the T2 and my newly-arrived-yesterday-via FedEx-Fuji XF 14mm lens. Late last night I posted three images from that evening shoot/lens check.

The only 'complaint' I had with either of my Fujis was that the Pro1 was a little difficult to hold. That was remedied by the addition of a $15 (pre-owned) Fuji hand grip. Otherwise, the 'old school' top mounted shutter speed dial/ISO dial/exposure compensation dial is very, very comfortable. And the menu system was easy to get used to as well. I shoot only in raw, so the Fuji film simulation settings for jpgs are not important to me, but I can easily see how they'd be important to others. The three Fuji lenses I have --both XC and XF types-- are nothing short of exceptional.

Today, I might go out with a couple of my Nikons. Or maybe I'll take one of the Nikons and one of the Fujis. Or maybe both Fujis and leave the Nikons at home. Or maybe just one of the Nikons. Is that sufficient endorsement?

I continuously read about how good the Fuji X-T series is; I am not sure I have really ever seen an article in UHH posted by a reader asking questions about the use of Fuji cameras, nor has anyone really ever alluded to owning one and commenting on how good it is ( there may have been an occasional article I don't recall seeing )

Does anyone in UHH land admit to owning / using Fuji ?

There are many Fuji owners here on UHH and they all swear by them. Fuji owners manage to stay above the Canikon vs Sony and DSLr vs Mirrorless frays so there are less posts on them. To their credit, I have never seen a post dissing any of the Fuji cameras or lenses.
I do not own a Fuji.

I upgraded from Canon FF 5D to Fuji a couple years ago and have been very happy with the Fuji X cameras and lenses. Currently shooting an XT-2.

I have a Fuji X-H1 and absolutely love it. Also have an X-T1 and a Pentax KP. I like the Pentax for the reach of the lens (55-300) and the X-T1 for the dedicated focus assist button with manual lenses. The X-H1 however is the favorite for comfort and versatility. It also has IBIS, which is important to me.

It could be that since it appears that a significant percentage of the membership in this forum are elderly and therefore less likely to embark upon change. If you want to read info from Fuji users, you should probably consider joining a Fuji forum.

I'd like to look at those age stats. Where did you access them?

I won't put words into Grey Ghost's keyboard, but i suspect he refers to the fact that a seemingly large proportion of comments made on this forum include statements like "I'm just retired and getting back into photography" or "I'm 107 years old and can't handle the weight of my rig" kind of stuff. So it's not statistical as much as anecdotal.

That said, I get the sad suspicion that indeed, just like with motorcycles, the demographic of users is aging out - those youngin's use their smart phones and don't know or care about the difference between those and larger cameras with bigger sensors (mostly because it matters not when all they do is post to Ista-crap and the like), so other than the more avante garde artistes (who may well be the ones using film for the nostalgic look) it seems to me that we are essentially a dying breed.

I have a Fujifilm X100F. It is a very good camera. All digital, fixed lens. If you shoot JPGs, the use of the camera's film simulations produce excellent results.

Although I shoot mostly with my Leicas, the X100F is a great addition to my inventory.

I think that fact that Nikon and Canon dominate the market and the members here, followed by Sony, relegates Fuji to a position of less prominence. But if you do a bit of research using the search function, I think you will find that there is a smaller, but very enthusiastic group of Fuji owners who are love their cameras and are dedicated to them. And yes, it is true that many of the UHH members are “seniors,” which means a lot of us got started in photography with SLR’s and film. The Fuji series, especially the XT series is a throwback to that era we, who are seniors, recall and got used to. None of this means that the Fuji cameras are a lesser sort, quite the contrary. If I were camera-less, and looking for a camera, I’d probably be giving serious attention to Fuji, for it’s retro style.

A lot of them. One is Cat Marley. They don't ask question because those don't need to ask. I am wondering why you ask the question.

I am with Ralph! The type of question Ed Chu have been asking does suggest that he posted click bait.
