Hello everyone,

I'm new to photography with a non-automatic camera. I have a Canon Rebel T6 and had it for two years now but am just learning what all the different buttons do. Thanks for allowing me to join.

Well, you have come to a Good place to Learn. Just take your time, ask one question at a time, and there will be a experienced Photographer here at UHH to provide you with a answer to assist you in learning to enjoy YOUR camera and how it can be a Creative tool in your hands, and help you to learn Photography.
Since you have a Canon Camera, hopefully an experienced Canon Photographer will be available to assist you.
Although, you will hopefully hear from the many knowledgeable, skilled, experienced Photographer's, just ask your specific question.

I am a Nikon Guy, but as a fellow Photographer I suggest you strive to learn and understand the "Exposure Triangle". This will assist you in learning how to properly balance your ISO, APERTURE & SHUTTER-SPEED, in Manual-Mode. Also learn Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority and how they assist in learning about your Camera. Last I will say, that has been said to me and others striving to learn their Cameras, is do your utmost to stay away from AUTO MODE.
