Men aren't too shabby either. Give them an acre they grow enough food to get through the winter. Give them a rifle, they fill the freezer with food to get through the winter without having to eat like a rabbit. Give them a tree, they build a house so you don't freeze to death in the winter. See where I'm going with this?

That sounds like a good way to look at it. I don't know about you but I'm getting tired of all the man bashing I see on TV, in public media, etc. The old "women need men like a fish needs a bicycle" attitude really pis**s me off.

In the 18th and 19th Century they did. Today, not so much. Safeway does just fine to stock my freezer and the guy who built my house, built others like it. Our role as Hunter-Gatherer has changed. Women's roles basically have not.
