Went out with the local photo group to shoot the San Pedro fountain (no show that nigh) and to shoot the Vincent Thomas bridge (also not lit up as usual), but we still had fun.

I've been there, have the t-shirt. The most important thing is to be out there clickin.

Is Iowa illuminated at night?

Lovely shots. Nearly every one has several areas that would make some unique wall-hangers. Do you ever go in tight for visual contrasts?

We did not get to the Iowa, but I don't think it was illuminated that night. Seems like all the lights and fountains were not working that night.

Thanks. I do, but was working with a wonky tripod that night. I was quite flustered by that, by the time I got it figured out they were on the hill and all the good spots were taken. LOL . Hard to work when the group is 15+ . Now that I know where to go, I can get there with a buddy and practice some more.

There is a Soviet Foxtrox submarine moored (bolted to the floor of the bay) next to the Queen Mary. There are great compositions showing the sub and the ocean liner.

Nice images from your outing. I especially like your 2nd and 3rd images. Well done. If I were shooting the bridge, I would have gotten a little closer to it.

I also agree with the suggestion of shooting the Queen Mary and the Russian Sub. I seen amazing images of those two boats taken after sunset there.
