Dropbox question

When I move a folder from My Pictures file on Win 10 to Dropbox, the folder is then gone from My Pictures. If I want to clean out Dropbox by deleting the folders, that folder will be gone forever. Is there a way to move or copy a folder to Dropbox and still save that folder after cleaning out Dropbox? Hope this makes sense.

Yes it makes a difference if you move a folder, or if you copy it! If you move it, it is gone from the recent location, if you copy it, it is still there, only a copy was send to the new location!

Make a duplicate folder and do what you want to do with the duplicate, when all is said and done, you still have original.

Instead of click-drag-drop a folder from pictures to dropbox, right click on the folder, select "copy" from the flyout menu which will copy it to the clipboard, then navigate to the dropbox folder that you want as a destination and right click on it - the flyout menu will have "paste" as an option - select it.

This works for all files and folders.
