Shooting from a gimbal with an extended 500L, I needed some practice too. The weather was OK, today may start with rain, Sunday could be perfect. All the hype this year is for the British Red Arrows and they didn't need practice. hmmm

The F-16 Fighting Falcon has been in active service since 1978, now 40+ years. The F-16's official name is "Fighting Falcon", but "Viper" is commonly used by its pilots and crews, due to a perceived resemblance to a viper snake as well as the Colonial Viper starfighter on Battlestar Galactica which aired at the time the F-16 entered service.

Great shots. I was down by the lake yesterday to take some shots. Hope they turn out half as well as these. Sure is hard to get the prop planes sharp while shooting slowly enough for the props to blur. Going up to rooftop on Lake Shore today to shoot.

I think Blues did their low show yesterday. I expected to see the Red Arrows also. Actually thought about trying to find you yesterday. Went to where I thought you might be and when I saw the crowd for practice day I figured I would never find you. Probably should have texted you at the number you gave me. Oh well....I regret it now
