I really like how the island is framed. For my taste I would have cropped about 2 inches from the bottom up to the bottom of the large rock on the left because my eye is drawn to the rusted metal or stick whatever it is.

I like the stick because it adds another color outside of the dominant blue & grey palette.

Doesn't look noisy to me but then I didn't download the image. Leave the stick; from a composition standpoint, it acts as an anchor. I like it.

Not bad on noise and is a great serene shot.

I like the composition. You captured the scene which also shows the weather via the sky, and the rough water. Lots of action going on. Yes leave the foreground object it is part of the environment.

I thought the pebbles and the log added texture and color to the picture, so I decided not to crop.

Thanks all.

Can't comment on the noise, because I didn't download, but your image is very well done and a beautiful scene.

I would also crop up from the bottom-- but I would leave the stick in. Also I would play around with the POV of the image and perhaps get very low. Nice image. Thanks for sharing.

Took this picture while on vacation. Not likely getting back there for a different POV.

Thanks all

Love this shot. The piece of wood is an essential feature, its need for contrast and interest. I understand the suggestion to crop as the balance isn't quite right but in my opinion cropping is not the solution. My solution may upset some but I would clone and move the piece of wood down and to the right. (Very easy to do in this case) But even if you do nothing, its a great shot as it is.

well done

Peter
