Lovely image of an interesting waterfall. Personally, I like the "silky" appearance of the water with the longer exposure.

There is a path that allows you to walk behind the full width of the falls. You won't get soaked, but there can be mist and spray, especially if it's windy or during high water levels. I've been there, camera and all without getting equipment wet (had a jacket on to shield camera). The falls are in the Nantahala national forest and also known as Upper Cullasaja Falls.

Thanks for the information.

I will try it next time. The over grown bushes and brushes are taking over the falls so I had to climb up on of the railing concrete column to have a better view of the falls.

Agree.....That is all about personal taste on choosing a shuttle speed when shooting the water falls. Thanks.

Now you're in my neck of the woods. Yes you can walk behind the falls, not getting wet depends on the flow of water at the time and season. Really only misty, not drenching wet. BTW, nice photos. You need to check it out in the winter when the falls freeze.

Thanks Dixie Native!

Yes, your neck of the woods is very nice. We love Sky Valley as well. Highlands is such a lovely town.

Thx

If you go behind the falls you do not get wet.
