And you should know that major camera manufacturers control their retail prices and if you find something for half the price that reputable retailers such as B&H, Adorama, Cameta, etc. or the manufacturer (Canon in this case) sell for, there is a “gotcha”. There are plenty of these dealers such as 42nd photo, Abe’s of Maine and Park Avenue Photo. They are grey market and bait and switch companies and if you choose to deal with them, you’ll be in for some unpleasant surprises. Before you endorse them, why don’t you read the BBB reviews (C+) and the list of complaints. Better yet, place an order for the product. Either it won’t ship or you’ll get a call. It will be out of stock or it will be grey market with no warranty and then they’ll try to sell you “an extended warranty” and other accessories or it will never ship. In the end, you’ll pay much more than the advertised price with a worthless warranty and your complaints will go unanswered. There are occasional authorized sales by the manufacturer, but there is no free lunch.
And again, it is poor forum practice to appoint yourself as the official critiquer of a seller’s price. If you’re not interested in the item, stay out of the conversation. Put yourself in the seller’s shoes - would you appreciate it? Better yet, try going down to your local car dealer (or camera retailer, or... and hold up a sign telling perspective customers that they can buy the car for less down the street and see how that works out for you. You are doing the legitimate seller a disservice and propagating bad information that if anyone who doesn’t know better follows, they will get ripped off. Please reconsider your actions and stop it!

Thank you, too many times I have seen a member's classified destroyed by an old codger here that has too much time on their hands and not enough sense to understand that this is a classified section of the forum and that it is purely bad manners to post alternative deals on someone's ad. If you need to alert a seller to a problem with pricing or any other issue the PM system is the appropriate manner to do so.
But to consider yourself a guardian of the galaxy here at the Hog is inappropriate.
