Another Hummer Set

I had a chance to really study these little buggers - or hummers - this year. They are fascinating birds, far beyond the unique nature of their wings and hovering ability. They actually seem to learn, as time goes on, at a rapid rate.

Great! Nice to see a photo of a male finally. I was beginning to think the males were all dead of some mysterious disease developed by feminists or misanthropist.

Thank you! The males are definitely harder to find and more difficult yet to capture their colors. The red on their throats frequently comes out black. This was a lucky one. Perhaps 90% of the remainder of my photos of that day were female, or BAD photos of the male.
