Although I am a longtime LR user, I have zero knowledge of the ability or techniques best used to remove objects such as these zoo cage bars. Please help...

I know this is not what you asked but this is an easy fix in Photoshop. Just use the Spot Healing Brush, you just need to be careful around the eye.

I've successfully used Photoshop Elements to remove telephone wires & such. Not sure how well it might work on those bars though. Try several programs in your arsenal & see which works best. Good luck.

If you have the subscription service the one that comes with it Photoshop CC I'm not sure when the Healing Brush was first included in PS. I set the brush at about two bar widths wide. Hope that helps.

Thank you.....I am familiar with many of the Adobe "tools', but rarely use them. I guess the ADJUSTMENT BRUSH is the place to study up???

In case anyone else is watching, I have found a few excellent you-tube videos covering this healing/clone brush tool...!

None...I have only been using LR. Even if it is available thru my "subscription, I haven't used it....I infrequent need to "experiment".

Curmudgeon had it on the 1st note. This is a "quick & dirty" attempt. You'll notice there are still traces of the bars in a couple of places. But you get the idea. Used Photoshop CC. If you go to Edit Tool Bar, look for Spot Healing Brush.

PS: If you wish, I can PM you a slightly better version in which I addressed a couple of residual spots where the bar lines show through.

I primarily use Lightroom ... I don't typically do heavy editing ... but IMHO, you have to go to Photoshop. There's a learning curve, like with any application. But it comes in very handy & is well worth the effort to learn. I've been using it for a while & there is a never ending list of things to learn with that application.

Impressive outcome! Wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it! I'm no PP guy, but ...
