Sony a6300 message

This showed up for the first time ever about 4 hours ago. There is no listing of ‘error’ messages in the Sony printed nin-manual. Any readers here have any idea about why.

are you using a third party battery? When all else fails, turn off, remove battery, remove the SD card. Reinstall a different battery if you have one. Reinstall a different SD card that has been formatted in the camera. See if that helps.

Yes, I tried all three of those steps and the message continued. This morning some 16 hours later the message didn’t reappear within five minutes of looking. Now some 20 hours later, after some 15 minutes of diddling with menus and settings and a coupla test shots, no error message. The one thing that I did not check yesterday was pulling the hot shoe cover.
