Why on earth is the USA government not doing background checks on potential gun buyers? All talk and no action from the worst president ever.
Even if it finally gets passed to do checks, why would you still have assault weapons sold to the general public? Simply unbelievable.

Why do people have an irrational fear of certain kinds of rifles especially when considering they are used in less than 500 deaths a year - fewer than knives. Thats pretty unbelievable too

I know huh! These lefties think that the minute Trump took office that he voided all the old gun laws including background checks. In California it takes 10 days to get a gun and an extensive background check is done. Here in Arizona, they make a phone call that only takes a few minutes to check you out. If you have a conceal carry license, then the background check is done for that and then when you buy a gun they don't do it again and again. It was done when you got the CCL.
Besides, there were hundreds of shootings if not more when Obama was in office too.
What needs to be addressed is our mental health issues. Too many people behave with symptoms of having some kind of mental health issue and it goes unreported. But care must be taken not to take all reports seriously without investigation. Imagine someone like a vindictive ex-spouse reporting that you are acting crazy and one the word of just one person that h**es you getting all your guns seized or not being able to buy your next gun. That wouldn't be fair.

Less than 500 people per year die via rifle. How many were AK 47s? You don’t have an understanding of the subject. More than that die from knives. Do you have the same concern for them? Those beaten to death? Hit with blunt objects? Each of those murder categories is more than by a rifle.

And, as usual, that’s a lie.
You cannot buy a gun at a gun show ... other than an antique or from a private small collection private citizen ... without a background check.
The private citizen t***saction could just as easily be done online or in the parking lot.
Now if it was done in 12 minutes they had obsolete technology. A credit check can be done in less than 12 minutes
What handgun did you buy? What caliber? How many rounds will it hold?

We do have background checks. Have you gone out and actually bought a firearm? Try to buy one without a background check.
Assault weapons are not generally sold to the public. And the cost? At least $10,000. Not a tool for kkkriminals. Evil leftie Dems try other means.
