Not that I'm trying to tell you what to do, but that DSLR will give you a lot more control over your exposure, and there are a lot of people on here to help you learn the camera, but you have the option to sell anyway. Good luck either way.

The A77 is a great camera and will serve you better than the NEX. I found the NEX menu somewhat confusing when I investigated.

Took it out this weekend to get some pics of a friend's band at an Art Festival. Some good, some horrendous pics. At least I know it isn't the camera's fault - that is one reason to stick with this camera!

wow good luck I just sold my a65 on ebay, for $665 and am getting athe a77 for $1050 from ryther camera, too bad I didnt see your add till today,
