Windows 10
I have an Epsom R3000 printer that i'm trying to get restarted after it being idle for about a year.
Right now, I've got it where the computer sees the printer (shows in the Control Panel), but the printer won't print. When I turn it on, it just runs all the paper through until it's empty, then it shows a "no paper/paper jam" status.
The printer is installed for wireless printing (in fact, it was setting it up this way that got the control panel to see it}.
This wireless installation was done by physically connecting the printer to the computer via USB; the USB cable is still connected. Should I disconnect the USB?
Someone (another forum) suggested that the printer behaves this way if the print nozzles need cleaning; yes/no? I'm sure that my printer nozzles do in fact need cleaning.
Any ideas or suggestions are more that welcome.
...I have an R3000 that sits for long periods, too. But I've never used the wireless function, always had it hard wired and depend on that. See if you can disable the wireless function and just go wired (as you already are). I don't think it has anything to do with it needing cleaning, which should happen automatically. Great printer, get it running!
Try updating the driver and, as someone suggested, disable the WiFi option.
I had my 3000 on wifi for awhile but the printing would take so long the wifi would drop off and then I'd waste the paper and ink because it would quit printing. Now wired and no problem. I assume you have checked the printer out to ensure there is no paper jam anywhere by lifting all of the "doors" up.
Thanks to all for the suggestions. I first tried with a wired (USB) connection and the control panel showed the printer grayed out (can''t do much, if anything) so I did the WiFi installation with drivers and software from the Epsom web site.
I may have to call Epsom for assistance.

It’s Epson. I also have this printer and only use the wired option. It sits for long periods of time between printing and have never had a problem printing after being idle.

...I love mine for that, too.
See if you can find a local repair shop that works on printers. If you have tried the menu item for cleaning nozzles (may have to do it more than once), and it still doesn't"t work, head to a repair shop. You might have to replace print head. I use the wired connection. Got tired of seeing "looking for printer message".

honestly, wireless connection to printer has never worked well for me, but calling Epson wouldn't hurt {assuming you can amuse yourself if they have the typical "elevator music" and long wait time}

Have you tried running the print head cleaning function, several times?

It may be a much simpler problem. I use this printer and sometimes it won't "pick-up" the paper. You may recall that when it picks up a sheet correctly, it does a little back/forth jig before beginning the feed. All you have to do is set-up the process for printing a photo, press "print", then hold your finger lightly on top of the paper sheet until the printer grabs it properly. I've found this to be an easy fix.

I believe you have the wrong Printer Driver. Suggest you go to the Mfg's website and download the current driver for your printer and computer
