...do you ever download a free disc that came with Digital Camera World magazine...? It’s called Practical Photoshop and contains 6 video guides and a landscape FX pack...I was tempted to do it and then thought better of it...
I'm not familiar with the magazine you write about.

Those are OK, but there's a huge amount of good material on YouTube.

We all have to start our post-processing journey someplace.

I have a digital subscription to Practical Photograph, similar to DCW. With the approx $40 annual subscription came access to “all” past issues. In the mag, there’s a page directing the reader to website where the free disc content may be downloaded or not. Imho, excellent magazines, I just wish they had yearly indexes.
Be aware that some of the material associated with the magazine may be time-limited. Recently, the magazine was being sold AFTER the "free" software offer by a manufacturer had expired.

Excellent advice. If you are interested in the material offered, do the download ASAP. You just never know! Lot of magazine buying and selling on these days and surprise terminations to go along.

I was getting that magazine for a while probably, well 20 years ago, or something around that. It always came with a free DVD, (which I never used, always tossed them right away), because it was all explained in the mag itself anyway (so no videos needed), Therefore I never downloaded one either or had the need to do so. The magazine was a good read and I really liked it!
