Processing practice!

First of all, these shots are not from my garden with the exception of the little Skipper sitting on a Buttercup. The others were shot in various locations. I try to snap the flowers I see anywhere I go. For the most part these were shots that a I might have discarded before I got more serious about processing. Now the challenge is to turn them into something at least acceptable. During these hot summer days, it keeps me entertained and happy!

Most look a bit dark on my laptop.

I think you are probably right. I need to turn the brightness on my monitor down a little I suspect. I have a definite tendency to Goa bit on the dark side. These look good on my computer but dark on my iPad.

Thank you. I like the Orchids, too! The little Skipper was a lucky shot. He only paused for a moment but I was able to get him.

Very nice, Carol. They are a bit dark on my monitor, too. Maybe try eliminating the shadows some?

I just came in to my computer and they look fine here so I am going to look at turning the brightness down a little on the monitor and I am going back over these to see if I can add a little life to them. My iPad has them looking dark also.
Edit: I just redid the skipper shot and adding it to see if it look better on UHH now. Any opinions?

These are really pretty, carol..the lightning up helped a lot!

Thank you, Merry. Some day I'll learn. I almost always start out too dark and have to go back and re-edit. I've redone all of these now!
