To get the berth you'll have to talk with your detailer, you can expect a long wait.....Ah the SR71... well I started out as a grunt(us army), got smart and became a Coastie.... retired but as a young wipper snipper I loved airplanes, and my niche is military aircraft especially WWII and after the 71 just happens to be one of my most favorites of my favorites....
Got it ... seems like I'll not pack my seabag just yet. That's quite a career you had ... agree on the love of planes & WW II birds in particular (father was an instructor pilot during the war). And I remember traveling through Okinawa back in the late 60's on my way back to the 'Nam ... I was walking with a buddy who was stationed there when an SR-71 took off. We were next to the runway & the noise was deafening. I'd never seen anything like that & asked my buddy what it was. He said "That's so secret, you didn't see it." I also saw one land sometime later & it taxied right into a big hanger & they immediately closed the doors. So they were obviously trying to keep gawkers from seeing much of it. Later I learned more about it ... amazing bird for sure & a worthy avatar. Best to you.
