I love the varying shades and tones, Paul!
Wonderful tones and contrasts - but I just can't tell whether I would like to see more or less of the buildings at the bottom. The tiny bit I see makes me somehow uncomfortable and I think I want it to be a bit different, but I'm not sure how... in any event, I love b&w and your image does it justice.
Perfect subject for B&W. I like the composition, just low enough to catch the 'Winn Dixie' sign.

Paul, Excellent B&W tonality and contrast. But my eye longs to see more at the ground level so as to anchor the bottom of the stack
Thank you photogeneralist, Curmudgeon, tommystrat, John, Mike, Bob, William! Your comments prompted me to go back to the original. I probably would approach this image differently if it had been the purpose of that morning's trip. But, I was at the water's edge of a marsh (about 180 degrees from this view) for sunrise over the water where this smokestack was a lucky strike extra. I see I took out the larger & higher high-power lines from the original and maybe stopped working after that effort and the B&W conversion. But, I'd have to change my position away from the marsh to change the perspective of less (or more) of the details along the bottom edge of the image. Ideas to consider if I'm ever back to this area.
