Went to the Oregon State Fair for horse pictures today. I don't have any software yet to touch up my posts, working on that. What an experience today, in dark barn, out in bright sun, in riding arena: constant light changes. Whew, I did get the lighting ok in the barns, but not so much with the movement in the show ring, they all blurred. Discovered I have a habit of anticipating where the horse is going so I get a great shot of that. For example, there's a great shot of a pile of shavings with half of a pretty horse!

You got me!!! Took me a minute to get what you ment! Now, not sure about your Clydedale comment cuz I think that's what these are. Yes, there were many Clydedales there I couldn't stay, but they were having a pulling contest later in the day. Let's just say there were alot of draft horses there.

i live two blocks from the Home of Budweiser Clydesdales and their stables at Grant's Farm. I keep telling myself to go over there and take some shots. I often pass there on my motorcycle and see the young ones playing and having a good time. They are magnificent animals.

I have some pics of Clydesdales at the Sonoma County Fair a couple years ago ... I don't want to post over someone else's message, but I'll put a couple in and you can check them out. Watch for my "Here's Clydesdales" post to follow.

I love horses ... especially watching the barrel racing and am constantly amazed at how those cowgirls can get those beautiful animals to corner like that! Gorgeous animals.

Really like picture number 2 of the multiple head shots! Had to laugh at the third picture. I know exactly where it was taken. Had that same stall last month for the Oregon Morgan Classic show..lol.
