I just got the same deal at B&H Photo, free shipping and a free Scott Kelby instructional DVD with it too. But it did take jumping through some hoops!

Let's face it. I'ts only a peice of plastic, and after the R&D is done for the first one, they only have to add a few features, and they get rediculous prices all over again.

sbesaw, we should thank you for pointing out a "good" price on PS6..,, we are not bitter at you, but feel that Adobe probably had PS6 on the shelf 5 years ago and kept parts back for each years release!!! Bad Boys them...

PS is like owning a Rollex watch.. the counterfeit one tells time almost as good... but has a Gimp label or a Paintshop Pro X5 label...

This sounds like someone who's not developed software. In something as complex as Photoshop CS, there can literally be millions of lines of code. A misplaced comma can wreak havoc, and finding that error can be incredibly difficult. Also, having people capable of writing code in an exotic language often means paying top dollar if you want to keep them. Software development is not cheap, and the more complex the software, the more expensive.
