This is my first post, and I hope I do it right!
Anyway, there I was...doing a walk-around the Circle of the Turnberry Golf Course (in Aventura, Florida), when there was a loud swoosh as a rather large (to me) iguana leapt onto a nearby palm tree!
Luckily, my camera and flash were at adequate settings, and I started shooting right away...most with fill flash, as he was hiding within the dark leaves and branches.
The better to see those big eyes of his!

There he goes!
He's hiding....Look closely..

Check those spines!
What a face!
Nice photo's, what camera did you use?
Great captures. Being ready allowed you to capture a natural event and keep the subject well lit. Congratulations on your first topic. Hoping to see more. Mahalo for sharing.
Very nice captures but not so good to have an iguana!

It was my old Nikon D80 18-135mm and the flash is Nikon SB800 Used M for both. Did just a little cropping and enhancing.
I have a wonderful D7100 also...I love them both!
Thanks!....My first comment!
Thank you all....I was nervous about sending, but I thought he was sort of unusual for the Forum!
Nice first post. Keep at it.
Very nice shots Bubbee. I like the 4th. shot best. It seems to be giving you the old evil eye! Thanks for sharing and BTW I also have a D7100 and really love shooting with it. Good shooting to you.

it's such fun to be surprised like that when you have your camera handy, isn't it?
Love your inspiring comments! Thanks again!
He's really a gorgeous specimen of an Iguana as well and you really managed to catch him well.
Welcome and great work.
