When the Vet came in with the shots Miley didn't move or make any noises at all. She just laid still on my lap while I cried and petted Her for the last time. I wondered and worried about what She was thinking. Then it was over, and now there is a huge hole in My heart.

I knew it was going to bring back those memories and fill my eyes with tears, but I had to watch this video.

I know I'm not alone in this. So many of us here on the "Hog" have lost Our pet companions. My Daughter is trying to talk me into a Silver Shaded Persian (a little girl) from a litter that should be in this world around the end of August. I just don't know if I want to go through that again if something were to happen; and Lord knows, there could never be another one like Miley. I think She couldn't make up Her mind if She was a human or a dog. She just didn't act like a cat. She was very affectionate, and so quiet; you could hardly hear Her little meow. Not just because I was so crazy about Her, but really, She never did a bad thing in Her life, never. She was so special; She was by my side all the time. But, anyway thanks for caring.

So sorry for your loss. Five years passed after our last dog was put to sleep for us to adopt another one. I didn’t want to experience that pain again.

This made me cry. So Sorry. I held our Lab in my lap on that sad day 2.5 years ago.. I do believe they know. They are almost human. Then 2 mo. Later LACI came along. She is so much like Wrigley. They can't replace, but can sure help fill the empty space. Take care .

As broken as your heart is, there is always room for one more - not a replacement but an addition. It would be a tribute to Laci that you loved her so much that you have to have a cat in your life. Give yourself time to grieve but switch to pleasant memories as soon as you are able.

OH, your baby was adorable and I'm truly sorry for your loss, and do understand the pain. We had a Silver Shaded tipped Chinchilla Persian named Remington that we loved. Ended up with Kidney disease and had to be put down at 13 yrs. Sooo hard and I cried for weeks over that one. Still miss him, so you do have my sympathies

I'm so sorry to hear about your beautiful kitty. We lost our dog at the end of June. It's going to be some time before we get another one. Takes time to grieve before one can get another 4 legged companion. The worst part of pets is losing them.
