Now that I have resolved my computer capacity issues, I can create some panos shot from the top of Steptoe Butte State Park in the Palouse area of Washington state.

The first shot is courtesy of my wife who took this through the windshield with her P&S travel special, a Canon Powershot 40 HS. This shows you how relatively low the Butte is so you can appreciate how far the fields extend.

These shots are intended to give you an idea of the extent of the Palouse area and they are shot at various focal lengths from 24 up to 400.

Later, I will post the final shots I took of this area from a mid-point on the Butte that give, IMO, a better perspective.

Thanks, Ken. The varying colors and textures are hard to capture, but they give that area so much character.
