I am thinking of buying a Sony RX 100 VI.

Just wondered if anyone has made enlargements up to 16 X 20 from the RX100 IV, V or VI.
If so what has been the Image Quality of your photos?

I am especially interested in 9X12 and 16X20 enlargements.

Many Thanks

I don’t have a Sony RX 100 yet. I did pre order a 1 inch sensor Sony RX 100 VII. I do have a Canon G7XII which has a 1 inch sensor like the Sony and I won a photo contest with it and the prize was a 16 x 20 canvas print of that image. I have it hanging in my man cave. Nice image quality. I have DSLR’s, and Nikon’s new mirrorless Z6, but for travel/vacation’s I will take the 1 inch sensor camera and leave all the rest at home.

I'm sure it's possible, but I would want to shoot at the native ISO with a tripod and good lighting, and not at either extreme of f/stop.

Mike, In my humble opinion you won the contest on the composition and impact of the image and NOT the 1 inch sensor.

True. But I was impressed with how good the image quality of the 16 X 20 was. I rarely print my images beyond 8 x 10, so it was nice to see how a 16 X 20 looked.

You will have no issues. I use an RX10M4 which is a similar sensor and 16x20 looks fine, as does 24x36

If it matters to you , the RX100 VII has a mic jack, and autofocus features from their A9. If you want the camera now, then get the VI. The VII is promised the 3rd week of August.

I print FULL OUT. So, my enlargements are either 8X12,16X24 or 20X30. And yes, with the RX100 series, they are beautiful and sharp.

This is good news!

Could you tell me what the term FULL OUT means?

Many thanks for your prompt reply.

I have a 1” sensor RX-10 MkIII and have printed 60”x40” canvases that have both sold.
Here is a photo of both canvas printed @36”x48” in front of my 65” LED TV. Resolution makes “the print feel like you could take one step forward and be right there” according to one of my clients!
